Teen Volunteers Compete to Become "Intangible Heritage Ambassadors"

Recently, the Keyan Sub-district Social Organization Service Center joined forces with the Social Work Station to host a salon for inheritors and a hands-on experience event under the theme of "Intangible Heritage Ambassadors". The event aimed to preserve the rich intangible cultural heritage resources of Keyan Sub-district through innovative means and to ignite the passion of the youth for traditional culture.
On the day of the event, 25 young volunteers gathered at Mingkeli ·Jianlihui, in Yejiayan House, Keyan Sub-district. Several inheritors shared the origins, development, and contemporary significance of intangible heritage skills. In the following hands-on experience session, the young volunteers personally engaged in the practices of Shaoxing cake printing and bamboo weaving art. They felt the charm of traditional craftsmanship and profoundly recognized the importance of protecting and inheriting intangible heritage.
